ive heard about home made pvc drift tires, what exactly is this all about?

i picked up an electric 4-tec from a friend for free that im going to start goofing around with until my sprint flux gets here. ive already bought a few sets of wheels but as for tires im still undecided. i plan to run the flux on 2s lipo. im assuming it wont have a problem getting sideways after a little tweaking.

any advise is appreciated
