I agree. Here is what I am doing on my current wing build of similar construction. Drop the leading edge balsa stick back to 3/16'' sq and have the sheeting go over the leading edge to the point. Same amount of wood for strength but easier, faster and stronger...as long as the balsa is light and flexible (or wet).
And there's a nice big flat to CA it to to get it started. Then bend and bond. I'll look at it.
