I have several JR sets (read 8) and I have never had a problem with any, feed back from UK customers tells me they are not having a problem either, the 50+ DSX-12's we have sold haven't had the same issues. My JR 9x II and DSX-9 are both fine. But I have never "guess charged" my Tx's. From day one they have been charged on a Graupner charger, NiMH setting (DSX-9 and DSX-12) and manual 0.7A. The wall chargers either over or under charge, both is bad. You cannot guess the exact time needed and people seem to just put their Tx's on over night, whether they flew or not!

That said, I would be surprised if Horizon won't sort your battery, their customer service in the UK on Spektrum is second to none. Having said all of that Eneloop cells are brilliant, best NiMH cell by a country mile and well worth an upgrade when the stock packs die.
