Found out the Pilot and tub out of my 1/6th scale J.L. F-16 drops staight in the this hawk so looks like he's got two to fly now, just got to get the other half
to knit him a red suit!!
Took the Hawk down to the strip for it's Maiden but it was blowing a bitter crosswind so bottled out!
Put it together and carried out all the ground testing, range checks, steering tracking etc. Ran up the turbine and tested fuel system, E.G.T. etc at full rpms.
All Ok so then reduced the max revs on the 160+ booster to 119,000rpm same as the 130, more than adequate I'm sure!
I was really impressed by the steering/tracking/ground handling on this model, the sports undercarriage really is superb!
Went home and thawed my fingers out, there'll be better days I'm sure!!
