I have the struts re-made and mounted, if I were to do it again I would have glued a groved wood rail across the top width of the fuselage for the struts to fit into, as it is you can see that I installed wood blocks for the strut end to go into, what a disaster it would be if the sides were lite ply with a hole drilled for the struts, how long would that last in the air?.
