Modeltech wing mounting screw up - please advise
I am putting together an ARF model from Modeltech, the Mini Magic Extra 20/480 (it's a 20-size sport aerobat, in which I will fit a OS .25 FX). After following all the instructions to the T, during alingment of the horizontal stabilizer I've noticed that the single mounting hole on the wing's trailing edge came off center from the manufacturer (the leading edge has just two dowels, which are centered). In other words, the wing is not exactly perpendicular to the fuse and the lenghts of the right and left trailing edges differ by about 1.1 cm (!). [:@] Fixing this would imply in the virtual destruction of the wing's belly pan, which had to be structurally glued in, as well as some other pretty sizeable hassle. There are no spare parts for this plane, as it has been discontinued years ago. I ask: can the plane be flown in sport mode with this amount of asymmetry in the wing's trailing edges? There is no warp, or any other structural problem that I can see.
Thank you in advance.
