I do find that if my hands aren't too dry, it works much better. Also, I think that one of my problems is that when I use my right hand on the sensor that I use my thumb to touch. Sometimes my thumb might overlap the other sensor/s and it won't react. When I concentrate and make it a point to only touch the dial with the TIP of my thumb, it works much better.
