Brett.. to use the direct hall input, I originally had set R-2 to a value of 680 ohms. I'm not sure what notes Rob put on that schematic since I didn't really look at it much since it was posted.. Give the 680 a try first before playing around with other values. Mine triggers nicely with 680 ohms. Remember though that no timer board was used with that setup so there would be no test functions available.. Mine originally had no timer board and was a stand alone ignition board. You have to trigger it with a magnet at the hall.
