Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

ORIGINAL: txaggie08

OK guys, couple of questions about the old mt(1):

One, I need new motor mounts. I broke a screw off in the old ones(don't ask, I was not paying attention that days....). Where can i obtain some new ones that will work?

Two, is there a difference in the CVD's for the MT and MT2? I'd like to replace the forward and rear drive links but am not sure

Upgrade parts- now has an MT2 center diff kit, will soon have a cs70 servo on the steering and a hs311 on throttle/brake. stock essentially everywhere else. I need a new front shock tower, and probably new rear shocks, so I'm thinking it might be time to bring it up to snuff with MT2 specs. I did just put titanium turnbuckles on it however....are those the same or different between the two platforms? I see lot's of people now running metal center diff cases...worth it?

Also curious about an aluminum top plate/radio tray. it seems like, though a bit heavier, it would simplify the radio installation and be simpler in general to work with....

thanks for the help.
Motor mounts are easy - go to ebay or your local shop. The driveshafts on the MT2 fit smaller output cups. The newer truck had all of that beefed up. I assume when you mean centre differential that you mean slipper clutch. Most aluminum is pointless to put on since it just adds weight and makes the truck weaker in a lot of ways.
