Hey where has Mr. Matt been anyway?
Tryin to stay part of that 80% that still have full time jobs!

Hope to see you guys at CA Jets but I have not been able to get out to fly on a weekend in maybe 2 months.

Re: Stingray, thirsty motor options will not have much fuel, it is hard to drain all of those flat tanks with only a UAT as a header.

I ran through 2 sets of Yellow retracts (maybe 400-500 flights) , they are very nice but I ended up swapping out to Robart 535s. I use BVM struts, wheels and brakes, and gear doors.

I think these things look faster than they are, or maybe mine is slow, it rarely got above 200 in my experience (when clocked)

Like I said the higher thrust turbines will work (and be faster) but you might only get 4 minute flights. A guy at my field had a P-80 on one so they can be balanced and flown.

In any case it is fast and hard to see, so Eat your carrots!
