As w8ye noted, it's been a problem for years and the powers that be don't seem to feel it's worth changing. I've lost a lot of very informative and instructional posts with diagrams and photograps over the years. Once they take a hike I don't bother with attempts to reproduce. I suppose you could write in a Word document and do a copy and past but you might as well spend the time at other forums where you can write at will instead.
