BB64 its just a blueish smudge now. i had a little red/orange before just intermittenly tho. the blueish smudge isnt there much now either. i looked up the tail with it at an idle and didnt see any blanks in the flame pattern inside so im confident that its ok there. the red/orange was just during accelleration once it was up to where i put the throttle it would clear up.

about what timeframe should i expect from idle to full throttle?
I read somewhere that it should be in the vicinity of around 3 seconds from idle to full power - but that was on a JJ-3000 from memory.

I too get a blueish smudge coming out of the lower exhaust area of my first JJ-3000. You can see it do it quite clearly here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUli0n2KhME

The newer JJ-3000 is the one on the starboard side and it doesn't seem to do it at all. Though I just noticed on watching the vid again that there is a pronounced blow-back out of the propane Festo fitting on the port side Turbine around the time when the flame starts. Maybe that has something to do with it in my case. This was the first dual spool-up I'd tried, and I got lazy - instead of each Turbine having it's own propane bottle, I used just the the one can and disconnected it after the port Turbine had spooled-up and plugged it into the starboard Turbine for its start-up sequence. Maybe it was just sucking some fresh air through the open Festo and into the Propane jet/s, thus causing an air/fuel imbalance in that part of the Turbine? Dunno - but I'll keep my eyes on it in future test-runs.
