mine does a fairly decent job. But then again I got the suspension jacked to max and Masher 2k's flung on it (added about .75 inches to the ground clearance), and its 4wd. Actually 99% of its driving is in grass (around 1.5 inches long), or on my street that is so riddles with potholes I damaged my real cars suspension

2wd's usually will struggle in grass though. My nephew has a RWD Stampede that does great on paved, sand, and dirt but gets drastically slower in grass.
