Set your mesh right. Problem solved. Metal spurs thrash other, more expensive parts. If it's not the spur, it'll be a diff. And metal spurs are brutally noisy. My buddy has had the same spur in his E Maxx, running on 6s, for over a year. The original spur that came with the truck. Set the mesh just as tight as you can get it, with the gears still being able to move smoothly all the way around. A slightly tight spot or two is common.
