try 1/2 inch up and down on elevator 3/8" up and down on aileron's as much as you can get on rudder (you may not use it now but you will when you get the hang of it)
for high rates get all you can.....keep in mind the knife is VERY easy to fly and control at slow and moderate speeds...you wont have any problems.
