Personally I usually use HPIs break-in instructions on small block engines it seems to work fine. Only slight mod I would do is make sure to mark your flywheel when your engines at Bottom dead center so you can line the mark up to make sure the pistons at the bottom of the shaft when ever you stop the engine.
