I just follow the instructions that come with the coverite, and iron it down with 1/4 to 1/2 inch overlap @ 230 degrees F once the edges are down turn up the heat to about 250F and go over it again slowly but do not stop, follow behind it with a damp paper towel that will set the adhesive. after all edges are sealed,( making sure to pull all edges as you iron them down use the heat gun to finish.) I also found that coverite will not sag as much as monkote over time, again it what your use to. I will say monokote is a little tougher than coverite.
