Default Installing Schumo hinges

Good afternoon all,

I bought some Schumo hinges for my Tiger a little while back and during a test-fitting of them I became confused. Not sure if I am slow or what, but I can't tell if I need to do any trimming on the hatches to fit these things cause they don't seem to fit right. They didn't come with directions and I attempted multiple forum and google searches and which up empty. It could be because I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now since I have several upgrades to install right now. If anyone wants to see a Tamiya Tiger I with glued parts ripped off I will post pictures in the weekly build thread

Those that have installed these hinges can hopefully give me a hint. The hatches themselves have three lines molded on them for the Tamiya hinges, one arrow shaped and two straight lines towards the edge of the hatch. When I test fit the hinges on either hatch the two straight molded lines keep the hinge from lying flat so I am assuming I am supposed to do one of three things:

1) trim those two lines down
2) or remove them completely,
3) or leave them as-is and it's just an extermely tight fit?
