Thanks to both of you for the information and images. My primary concern was that the part of the hinge that attaches to the hatch doesn't want to lay flat towards the outer edge of the hatch for some reason I guess it's just a really tight fit. I will have another go at it and if I'm still having problems I will post a detailed picture of what I'm talking about or just sand a little off the vertical molded lines. I'm still waiting on some metal sprocket guides to arrive because I broke one the retainer lip off one of them while installing Daryl's chassis brace so I have plenty of time to mess with the fit of the hinges.
