Default RE: 35% Sukhoi Question

After a month of assembling and modifying she will fly today.

Canopy was a nightmare, wings wouldn't go on the wingtube, repainting, etc. This was the tiger striped version and the previous owner had started to assemble it. He had removed all the stripes except for the painted ones on the cowl.

I had to mount a sanding pad on a steel shaft and run it up and down the wing tubes for quite a while but now the wings slide on and off pretty good. They wouldn't go all the way in without considerable force before that.

In the chance someone else picks up one of these for assembly, 1.5" prolinks are perfect for the elevator halves and 3" are perfect for the ailerons. If you mount the rudder servo in the tail a 4.5" prolink is a good fit. I used Dubro 866 control arms with Dubro HD ball links.

I'll have the all up weight and some pics later. DA100 on the nose, Mejzlik 27X10, JR8611 X 2on the elevators, Futaba S9154 X 4 on the ailerons, Hitec 5955 on rudder mounted in the tail. Futaba R6008S Fasst receiver, 2 X 6V 2500 Ma NiMh on the receiver and 4.8v 1700Ma NiMh on the ignition.

It seems light enough. I have the CG about 3/4" forward of the center of the wingtube. About 3.75"at the wingtips. Max throws on everything with some expo to smooth it out.

Supposed to be around 60 deg. today with a 5-8MPH breeze.
