Default RE: 35% Sukhoi Question

Thanks. Not sure of the weight. I'm guessing somewhere in the high 26lb range. I'm taking the scale to the field today so I can get an all-up weight.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to move the engine back a little to get rid of the nose heavy condition. I stuck it out there a good ways to get maximum prop efficiency with the big round cowl. There isn't much I can move back inside the fuse. The two receiver packs don't weigh much and they are already behind the CG point. I have the throttle servo out on the end of the engine box but I hate to have to run ny-rod all the way from the back of the fuse.

Sometime this week I will get around to framaing and painting the canopy. I have been dreading that chore since I first saw the canopy. Everyone has that one something they really hate about setting up a planeand that is mine. But it's just not a Sukhoi without the band across the front.

Also you'll notice I marked it as a SU31 even though it was marketed as a Su26. The only cosmetic difference between the two was the curved vs. straight landing gear. The big difference of course was internal. The SU31 used composite material rather than an aluminumtubular structure.
