I got a couple of these guys from nitro
http://www.nitroplanes.com/rcmodelpilot5.html the paint colors are a bit off so I repainted the jacket, scarf and some other little do dads.
for my P-40 I wet with a little facial hair for distinction the mustang got the clean cut look
if I remember corectly I had to trim the bottom just a little to fit and then used Goop adhesive to stick them down
