Thunder Tiger .25 pro
Gregg, thanks! I've got about four hours in trying to get this peice of ____ to run. I've not had much luck lately with my combat planes my preditor of two years, as many midairs and numorus combat rounds lost a servo this march. When the servo quit it went to full travel and I'm sure you know the rest. The plane and engine was unharmed, so two new servos and back in the sky. Because we run a "beginner combat" we have limited engines to .25 FP or LA (no other 25) or anything smaller. All the beginners feel comfortable while they learn to spread the field of their vission. Any ways to try to find an engine I could put on my preditor to be legal I started with a MVVS .21 and it ran great as long as I did not turn climb or dive. Then I tryed a old FP that had been damaged in a mid-air and that was NG. So as a last resort I had always kept this TT.25 pro as a third backup. I put it on, and the rest you know about.
The os 2a carb I'm using will has been bored out to .25 in intake dia. and the .25 fp would really hum with it so I'm hoping it will do the same for this one. I'll find out tonight!
The MVVS is obviously loosing air from the seam between the cylinder and the case of the engine. I took it apart last night and there was oil al over the nice machined mating surfaces. So if it were a air tight seal there sould have been no oil there eather. so now the search begins for a sealant that is alcohal and nitro methain proof. Anyone got a saggestion, besides hold the MVVS over a garbage can, close my eyes and release.
Thanks
Joe
