How do you know which gas engine is best for a specific application? IE...Cub vs Extra vs something else...
My situation: Purchasing a 73" Pilot-RC Sbach 342. Looking to purchase a gas engine, most likely candidates are DLE 30, Syssa 30, and MT 35.
All are within an ounce or so of the same weight. All are acceptably priced. I want the cowl to look clean with a minimum of cutting. I want the plane to fly with authority. I don't 3D, but I want it to be able to so I can learn more skills as well as fly basic IMAC/pattern stuff. If you were me, how/what would you choose for this particular airplane and why? Please make your recommendation as aircraft specific as you can...Thanks!
