Lets check and make sure that all of the dog bones are not missing first. The dog bones that are connected to the wheels, you should only have small amount of play. What I and others have done is take some fuel line hose and cut pieces to place in the C cup to take up the excessive play. Again you will want just to have enought to barely wiggle it. If you place a piece of tube that is too thick this will cause the dog bone to lock and. Too much play will cause it to bind as well.

Make sure to check ALL the grub screws that lock the C cup on the drive shaft and transmission is tight. Having a loose grub would just spin on the shaft and not transfer the power from the engine to the wheels.
