So we have one guy with a 9000Kv in a Slash, and another with water/corrosion in the switch?? And there is people here saying this is why you should not buy a Mamba? I wonder what vpower would recommend for these trucks? I really cant believe I just associated myself with this thread, but there is clearly a few things going on here that would kill any ESC. I have to wonder if everything happening would be "unexpected" if it was happening to me. You know, if you open the box to your new ESC, and you smash it about 50 times with a hammer it will probably not work either.
The only reason I'm so frustrated with them right now is for three reasons. First, the 5700 motor shorted out internally without ever being overheated. second, after the 5700 motor short circuited the esc was acting very strange and then one day it burst into flames when I turned it on. Third, my 4600 motor had the shaft sheared off.
Castle has shown through and replaced all three, but I was just frustrated with so many things breaking recently. Because of this frustration, I was a little hasty to soil castle.
