I made 3 more flights with my Dave Patrick's Extra 330 powered with CRRC 40i. I was disapointed with this engine. It did not have enough power for a 16lbs airplane.I started with Zoar prop 20x8 but then changed to APC 18x8. It did a little bit better but still had no vertical power. I will try with a Zoar 18x6 tomorrow and I'm thinking of switching to DA-50R already. [>:]
You mentioned these chinese engines need a lot of break-in but did they perform better after the break-in period? I think OS 1.60 consumes too much fuel and with big tank it did not save much weight, don't you think?
