do the deans somehow replace the wire magically?
If not they are prone to the same failure...
What he's talking about is the wire flexing against the part of the plastic terminal cover that covers the solder joint. The solder joints on deans plugs are covered by heat shrink tubing, which flexes with the wire.
It's interesting how people can criticize deans, yet when someone criticizes traxxas connectors, half a dozen people jump on him.
ahh no i was wondering the way he phrased it saying the wire breaks there. But still heat shrink tubing won't prevent a wire from breaking so thats not really going to help much only thing it will do is keep it a little stiffer.
BTW not jumping on him for criticizing traxxas connectors but his reasoning was a little off. Blaming the connector for a wire breaking doesn't make the connector bad. It only means the soldering job was bad

i wounder how well rca plugs would work.
when i ran electric i used deans and when i get back into electric it will be deans. i have never used trx and i dont have any plans to.
Not very well IMO they are rated for signals and not any real current, Tamiya connectors probably would do better
