Default RE: Dissappointed so far

Ya got your needles out of whack to begin with.. Try putting them both at 3 turns out, and reset you idle gap screw (with pressure on the arm trying to close the throttle) to 1mm.. Also -VERYIMPORTANT-, if you have a rotary carb, set the LSN with the arm in the "full throttle" position. If it's a slide carb, slide the arm all the way out (full throttle)before setting the LSN.. Slowly screw em in until you feel resistance, then 3 (360*) turns out.. That should put the screw just about flush with the edges of the base.. Same with the HSN, 3 full turns out should be close to flush, but probably will be slightly "in".. Anyway, with a freshly charged ignitor (and a new glow plug if you have one) warm up the engine with a hair dryer or heat gun for about 40 seconds, moving it around the engine every 10 seconds.. Then prime the carb, hook up the ignitor and give her a pull.. It'll run.. (If it stalls when ya remove the ignitor, lean out the LSN until it stays running w/o the ignitor..) The idle will be high for these stages of breakin, but after a tank or two it'll loosen up enough to let you richen the LSN again.. I wouldnt even worry about the idle and stuff until your done with the breakin. It'll keep getting faster and faster as the motor breaks in and loosens up.. Once your done with breakin, tune it for performance.. Also, resist the urge to gun the throttle during breakin.. Follow the directions and you should be good to go! Good luck!
