Yea, nitro can test your patience real quick! It's worth the work though, once ya get it tuned in, nothing beats hearin that nitro engine sing!

About the steering.. The servo's they use are not very good, to say the least.. You'll have to keep "VERY" fresh batteries in it to get them to work right, (Definitely get a rechargeable "hump pack" 6v for therx.)and even then they sometimes go on the fritz pretty quick.. I updated the steering servo's in both my Redcat nitros.. If ya want a good, "cheap" servo for the steering, take a look at this one:
