RE: OS 40 LA Plane Suggestions?
Because of the relatively LOW power of the LA engines, if you are not intending on flying a trainer, then you should go with a far SMALLER plane.
The LA .40 is about the equivalent of a .25-.30 standard carb/bearing engine in terms of power. That makes it better suited to a .25 to .32 sized plane.
I fly the LA .46 in a .25 ModelTech Extra, and it could use a bit more power.
As someone here once said, "the LA .46 is the BEST .32 engine, I've ever owned!".
