Not necessarily. Some of the "cheap" stuff works just fine. I guess it all depends on your definition of cheap, too. For instance, Airtronics and Futaba both sell a standard servo for right about $10.00 and they work just fine. To me, ten bucks is relatively cheap.. or should I say inexpensive.

I guess you have to watch what you get and expect that some of the "cheap" stuff is exactly that.. then some of this stuff is a bargain.
