Could be, but never really had an issue yet with any of my SH engines.. 'Cept maybe my first Sportwerks 26, which did seem to crap out after about six gallons...(about 5 3/4 gallons more than I got out of two of my high-end Italian engines with closed backplates..) That was more down to the pullstart though(I have since sworn off pullstarts..) All my other SH engines have been flawless.
