As a general rule of thumb, if the kit is in the blue and white (cream) box, it is the older version. The newer (post 1990 I think) is the red and white box, which is also a little bigger than the blue and white. The later version came with ABS wing farings and landing gear cuffs. The earlier version had 3 pages of plans while the later version had two pages of plans and an addendum with the template for the door, cockpit cover etc. The later version also had the 45 page instruction manual while the early version had the 12 page instuction manual. Both kits came with ABS cowl with blisters that you had to glue on. The instructions for both cowls were for the UMF style (paired blisters) The YMF cowl has just become available through the effort of Bill (stickbuilder) and Jay (damifno). Both kits had you build the wheel pants from balsa, most of the aftermarket wheel pants are too wide and need to be sectioned to the scale width. You may want to get the "inhanced" 12 page manual from the House of MOY, as it has several "fixes" outlined by the brotherhood
