Great job on that PT-19!
Couple of flying tips, hope you don't mind...
Takeoff: Hold right rudder, slowly advance throttle. As she rolls and picks up speed, ease off some rudder. A little more power and the tail will lift. Soon after, up she lift's into a low angle climb out ! (Right rudder input ends around liftoff)
The PT-19 really has a scale-like, majestic lift off!
Landing: The PT-19 (especially your size) is not a ''Floater''! Try a landing pattern big enough to give a long final approach. Approach with a low-ish angle glide path bleeding off airspeed, however, making sure to maintain minimum controllable airspeed. At runway threshold... throttle to idle, level off and she settles right in!
Good Luck!
Of course I don't mind. Thanks. After what you've said, I might set it up for flaperons. Your advice goes against all I've read about it, most everyone else say it flys alot like a trainer. I always land with a touch of throttle anyway. Your advice is well taken, thanks again.
