RE: CA Models VISA
OK guys,
Here’s a download of some pictures of my production Visa. Mine is in the same pink scheme as Chip’s. I got the shipment last Tuesday but haven’t had a chance to post anything until now.
I am probably not going to start construction until next week. I also received my new Passport wings with the Visa so I need to get those outfitted and installed so I can dial it in before the next contest.
I have to say that the paint scheme is a real knockout in person. Very sharp!!! The quality is really nice. As everyone has stated already, they have stepped up their game for sure.
The Ultrakote bottom/Painted top method on the wings and stabs came out really nice. There is a seam at the LE, but you can’t really notice it. I took some pics of it but I am not sure anything will actually show up.
The surface of the fuse is very flat, as are the wings and stabs. No washboard is visible in the sheeting.
The framework inside the fuse is done very cleanly as you can see.
The spinner with fan backplate is really nicely done and very light.
So, here are the weights. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of my scale, it’s a Harbor Freight special, but you’ll get the basic idea. This is as I took it out of the crate and haven’t done anything to it yet.
