alex_scratch_built,

MEGA 16/25/2 2650KV on 5S in a Funjet at 37,000+ RPM (possibly up to 38,500 RPM) {would be more RPM is prop load was less but less power too}

This video was not made for Doppler speed pass, it was just for the owner to have fun.

He had CC ICE 100A ESC and Eagle tree data logger. Full size heat sink and as you can see he used throttle control wisely.

His Eagle Tree pitot tube speed sensor (which does not get effected by wind...think airspeed, not ground speed) showed accelerating from 57 MPH to 127 MPH in 3.0 seconds…..70 MPH gain in 3.0 seconds starting at almost 60 MPH….WOW

Prop was on the high side: APC Sport 6X4 and AMPs peaked at 95A and unloaded nicely to just about 80A because of 1.5:1 diameter to pitch ratio prop.

5S-3000 30C pack kept the AMPs from going much higher with that size prop but they were still big enough to handle the AMPs fine.

No need to run that much prop either.....but his acceleration was insanely high.

Graupner CAM 5.5X5.5 would be too much in Funjet considering limited airflow to motor….but Graupner CAM 5.2X5.2 or APC E 5.25X4.75 or APC E 5X5 might be worth experimenting with….maybe even APC E 5.5X4.5 on high side.
Summer temps might change the name of the game too.

Remember MEGA will do repairs but you need to wait. MEGA will repair a motor in 7-10 days after getting it…the rest of the time is shipping to and from Europe …..only if anything ever happens.
