I built one a couple years back, and have yet gotten the nerve to fly it. It is a heavy plane for the size. The plans and instructions say up to a 1.20 four stroke, but for the life of me, I couldnt' find a way to fit my O.S. 1.20 Surpass II on a set of motor mounts that Icould bolt to the filewall. I settled for a Magnum 91 four stroke. Iwas just working on my check list to get it in the air this summer.

I've waited too long.
How heavy is it? If it's less than 8 pounds, it will fly very nicely on a two-stroke .61-size engine. If it's heavier than that, it's 'way overweight.

Bax it is around 9 1/2 lbs. The kit was really old school design. The fuselage sides wereso thick that I had to cut a window and frame in a ply area so I could mount a switch and charge jack. The sides are 1/2" thick. I didn't use the wire landing gear or the built up cowl either, Fiberglass specialities cowl and a Dubro Composite landing gear that requireda modification to the floor pan. I have a Mag 91 four stoke for power. It should be fine.
