Default Ignition Engine Identification Help

Bob and Art, Thanks for the information! With the information you have provided I was able to do a quick search, and determined it must be a Hurricane .242.

My friend also has an O.R. .60 and a Madewell .49 that appear to be in pretty nice condition . I know that the process of grading and determining a value on these engines is somewhat complex, but can you point me in the right direction on how to establish a ballpark value for these engines. I was hoping to find a listing on the MECA or the SAM sites, but no such luck. My friend wants to sell these engines, but we need have a rough idea of what they are worth first. Do you have any recommendations on the best way to market them? The engines belong to a widow. Her husband was a full scale aircraft and modeling enthusiast, and as a favor I am trying to help her market the engines. I have been flying free flight, control line, and RC for the past 40+ years, but I am not an ignition engines collector, or I would buy them myself.

Any assistance is appreciated! Thanks again!
