I'm back. Been picking away at the hatch. There is a fair amount of work to get the hatch to fit just right. I found after trimming the sides to the trim lines that the front of the hatch was way too high. So with the FG hatch being somewhat see thru I could hold in down in place and mark where it needed to be trimmed to.

I have decided to use the supplied ABS turtle deck. I have read that it is heavier but I think this plane will come out nose heavy any way so I don’t want to go through the trouble of constructing some lightweight deck just to end up adding lead to the tail to get it to balance.
