Mein Duff, Thanks for your comments. There is a great instructional thread under engine conversions ( gas/glow conversions) which was done by Av8tor and it pretty much sums up the advantages of gas glow. In a nut shell, it saves the expense of buying an EI unit and batteries or maintaining them and makes it possible to flip start engines that otherwise would need an electric starter. There are no timing issues either. There is also usually a rpm/power gain with gas/glow and the engines run cooler. It is a really great solution for making gas 4-strokes usable. Oh yeah, and that cool sound!
