Question on an Ikon N'Wst UPF-7. Surpisingly, the manual and plans don't show the CG. Any info greatly appreciated.
Jack up the tail until the datum line is level. Use a framing square and place it in front of the top wing. Mark where it meets the table. Move the square to the rear and allow it to contact the trailing edge of the bottom wing. Mark where it meets the table. Measure the distance between these 2 marks. This is your Mean Aerodynamic Chord. Compute 26-28% of this number. This is where you balance your plane (distance from leading edge of top wing).
