Multi Servos on a CH and Accessories
Hello,<div></div><div>I recently just got back into the hobby after a 10+ year hiatus. I think that the tx/rx technology now is just amazing, especially coming from the 72mhz fm world so long ago...lol</div><div></div><div>Anyway, my question is (and sorry if this has been posted already, I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find it...I didnt even know the proper term to type to search for it) I'm building a fairly large airplane, I intend to use 2 servos for aileron and 2 servos for elevator, and at the same time I have flaps and retracts. Does a double servo setup occupy 2 channels? So all in all does that mean that this is an 8 channel setup?</div><div></div><div>I already have a DX7SE, and I haven't gotten a receiver just yet. Could I just get an AR9000 and make that work since technically I only have 6 functions (ail, ele, thr, rud, flap, gear)?</div><div></div><div>Does Y-harnessing 2 servos together still work, (coz it did back in my day...lol)?</div><div></div><div>Blah...I'm sorry, I dont even know if I'm asking my question right.</div><div></div><div>Basically:</div><div></div><div>I have a plane that I want to have 6 functions: ail, ele, rud, throt, gear and flap</div><div></div><div>But 2 of those functions are going to use 2 servos (ail and ele)</div><div></div><div>And I already have a DX7SE</div><div></div><div>Do I need a new TX with more channels? Or can I get away with using my current TX with a RX that has more channels (like the AR9000)? Or do I Y-harness the multi servo functions into 1 channel? Or do I have to get that matchbox thingy (which I dont know what exactly that thing does, just saw the name thrown around earlier while research)</div><div></div><div>Thanks in advance for your help....and patience with getting a yesterday's rc pilot back in the game!</div><div></div><div></div><div></div>
