One needs to asked themselfs this, If these problems was exaggerated so much as some think with the side carb design, why would DLE spend a ton of money to change there whole set up and come out with the rear carb unit?
If I bought a chainsaw and it wouldn't idle in certain positions, I wouldn't tolerate that. I certainly wouldn't tolerate that condition in an airplane engine regardless of whether the extent of the problem was exaggerated or not. There were enough complaints just on the various forums for me to believe the problem was real. If there was any exaggeraing going on it was people trying to put down the extent of the problem, not the other way around. I didn't own a side carb DLE, I will be owning one when the rear carb version is released.
