Like EloyM said, there is a tab on the Futaba servo connectors. But that is easy to snip off and then you can use the Futaba servos with any major brand of radio.

If what you mean by compatible receivers is that you can use different brands of receivers with another radio, then the answer is "no". All of the 2.4 receivers on the market are propriatary and you must use the brand of receiver from that manufacturer. But if you mean by using servos on another brand, then the answer is "yes" it will work. Airtronics is currently making a 5 channel receiver that is very affordable at $49. You can use any brand of servo in that receiver.
