Eric, balsa is lighter than epoxy resin. I have a second set of sponsons. built not sealed. The first set is like you see red, next one will be clear. I will be posting the weight of each. pigment is heavy. Think light on your hull & you'll be OK, My pipe mount can be made lighter/ redone.
