Hi Guys Has anyone tried this combation RC2HL(darkiths new DBC)RX14 Board with burntout FETs and Use the Tamiya DMD for driving the motors.
Have it wired up with 2 off swiches one for each system ,It seems to work(Dbu lights up and sounds work ) but have a feedback problem ,when going through the start up procedure (with the Tamiya DMD swithed off)everything seems to start up correctly, but the tracks move ,The RX14 isnt conected to the motors so there is a feedback going via the Reciever to the Tamiya DMD ,havnt driven it just testing it (cant afford New DMD/MF )the power going to the motors may damage the reciever or burn out the wires.
So looking for a little help Is the something that I could fit to the Y harness to stop the feed back,but still allow it to work the DMD correctly Have a Spektrum radio fitted,so cant use 2 recievers (thought about that only have 2,4ghz radios and standard heng long)The reason for the DMD is the tank Hull weighs 18lb and thats with no top on.

Here's what I started to email you....
Sounds like the DMD has a "soft-power" switch that only disables the power to the control circuitry. Since the DBC-RC2HL has a BEC circuit to provide 5v power to the RX and any attached servos, that power is passing from the DBC to the RX, then to the DMD (over the servo connection) and powering the DMD's processor, which happily does what the RX is telling it to do.
Simple fix would be to pull the red wires from the servo connections between the RX and DMD (pull the pin out of the plug and tape/heatshrink it). Then the DMD would only receive power when the DMD power switch is on. This also prevents the BEC in the DMD from trying to power the RX (and DBC) which results in two BECs trying to "fight it out".
