I recently had a similar problem with my Shinden. First I tried swapping out my 1500mah NiMh 4 cell to a 2000mah 6 cell + vreg. This added 1.2 oz to the nose. I changed my tail wheel which removed .2 oz from the tail. This improved the flight performance but it was still too nose heavy. Next I moved the rudder and elevator servos furthur forward. I didn't think that was going to be enough so I also installed a 6 oz header tank (1.2 oz empty). As some have already experienced the header tank concept works great as far as the fuel supply operation. For me the 6 oz of fuel in the nose was way too much. I removed the header tank and switched back to the 1500 4 cell batt (removed the vreg). Just moving the servos turned out to be more than enough. Now the plane is just a little nose heavy. I can either move my battery back furthur or use a lighter Lipo and save weight.
