Was it the Bachem BA 349 Natter?
Edit:
Disregard that answer. I cant remember the name of the plane but it was flown and desinged by Alexander Lippisch way before the war started.
Remember seeing it on the Military channel a while back. It was the forerunner to planes like the ME-163.
I want to say it was the Ente or something like that
The Ente was a modified glider, not a warbird, flown once with a solid fuel rocket. Back around 1929, if I remember correctly. Yes, an early pioneer; but not a *liquid fueled* rocket. Good guess, though. Thanks; Ernie P.
