hey thnaks for that info i was wondeing what was meant buy mechanical advantage.. so if my thinking is right making those adjustments should prolly give me maximum throws on everything shouldnt it. i could be wrong casue i know if u adjust one way ona servo hole and control horn youl get more or less throw on control serface
Increasing "mechanical advantage" is much like using a longer lever to move a boulder.
You can lift a larger load, because you are moving the lever over a bigger arc, to move the load a smaller distance.
Increasing mechanical advantage normally DECREASES the total amount of control surface movement you have available. You are sacrificing movement for holding power.
However by increasing the distance the servos move via the TX settings you offset that.
So you are trying to end up with the recommended control surface movements, but you are doing so while letting the servos exert the most power and leverage on the control surface.
You will not get "maximum" throws ( in other words everything that would be possible if you went the other way... ), but you should have no problems obtaining the RECOMMENDED throws or control surface movement amounts....
